Hey, I just had to show you this! I was sighting in my Leupold 3 x 9 x 33 Compact on my Marlin Guide Gun (.45-70) and WOW, was I impressed! That's THREE shots there, believe it or not! The load was (**) grains of Reloder-7 with WW LR primers and Rem cases. I hope the picture makes it through! Let me know. Whata ya think ? ? ? What a bullet ! ! !

THIS WAS OUR 45/70 515 GRAIN FLATPOINT BULLET,SORRY THE PICTURE OF THE TARGET WOULD NOT COME THROUGH,HE MADE ONE RAGGED HOLE INSIDE A 1 INCH SQUARE ON THE TARGET AT 50 YARDS. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jim, The order for the 12ga.Sabot slugs came today. Great turnaround time ! As always the slugs are beautiful, well made and very consistent in weight and quality. You know if more people would try these slugs they would be "hooked". My tweaked 870 rifled barrel Remington will cloverleaf 4 rounds at 50 yds. What is amazing is that holds equally as well in a smooth bore Ithaca Model 37. At a hundred yards I can hold 1-1/4". Not bad for these old eyes and a 2x scope. Always that accurate ? No ,but darn close. If you shoot commercial sabots fine, but the hunters should really give these a chance. My last whitetail (hit at 70-80 yds) was literally lifted sideways 5 ft.- That my friend is energy transfer. Keep up the great work. I will buy again. Take Care, George Fritz, Michigan

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I was thinking of doing the same thing until I ran across this site. They sell all the cast gas checked bullets you will ever need at a reasonable prices. I have ordered from them and they are a pleasure to deal with. The bullets are well made, gas checked and lubed. www.gardnerscache.com/ RGR WJB C+R Collector Gun Forums Administrator/Owner

Dear Jim, I wanted to follow up with you after our conversation about your Lyman 525 grain sabot slugs. With 30 grains of WSF, Winchester 209 primers and AA hulls fired from a Marlin 512 bolt action slug gun I had good accuracy. The true test came on New York's opening day (11/22/04). The attached photo shows a nine point buck I took with the described setup. One shot to the chest was all that was needed. Thank you for the help. Happy Holidays. Jerry Meenan

Thanks Jim! I deeply appreciate what you did for me, sir. It was above and beyond the call of duty and one of the nicest things anyone has done for me in a long time. It's not so much the 250 hulls, or the recipe for using them, it's the fact that you went out of your way for me when you didn't have to. Thank you sir! If ever I can return the generous consideration that you've shown me, I'll be eager to do so. Respectfully submitted, Dan Minard Heartland Midwest Mgt

The .44 180 LWC shoots very well in .44 special cases. Great 1-2" 25 yd. groups with both Tightgroup and Trailboss. At 25ft. they punch 1 hole as long as I can hold that well. A nice alternative to the standard cast bullets that are on the market. Shooting a Blackhawk w 5 1/2" barrel.
